The release of ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ has reportedly been delayed and the game rumoured to be “in trouble.”

The ‘Harry Potter’-themed game based on JK Rowling’s Wizarding World franchise – which will see the player take up a place at the famous magical school in the late 1800s – was due for release this year but a new report claims it has been pushed back.

Speaking on his ‘Sacred Symbols+’ podcast, gaming journalist Colin Moriarty said: “I’m hearing behind the scenes that game is not coming out this year, and that it’s in some sort of trouble.”

The game – which is currently being developed by Avalanche Software, which was acquired by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment – was first announced in 2020 and slated for release in 2021, but just months later it was announced on the game’s official Twitter account that the game needed more time.

The tweet read: “We would like to thank fans from around the world on the tremendous reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our Portkey Games label. Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us, so we are giving the game the time it needs.”

However, video game insider AccountNGT was quick to rebuke the claims made by Moriarty that the game was in “trouble”, stating that the “only thing” that could push back the release of ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ is the amount of other titles due for release around the same time.

The insider wrote on Twitter: “The only thing that could delay Hogwarts Legacy to 2023 is the amount of games that will be released in the same period.”

Victoria’s Secret has opened an online outlet in Australia.

The lingerie giant – who has over 1400 stores globally – is foraying into beauty e-commerce for those Down Under with merchandise ranging from their beauty lines, sleepwear and items from their sister brand, PINK.

The brand first entered the Aussie market following the opening of their 2018 flagship store in Melbourne, the year of their last televised fashion show.

They will be working in collaboration with Valiram (Luxtralia) Pty Ltd, a distributor that specialises in fashion and lifestyle with over 400 outlets across South East Asia and Oceania.

This moves comes as the hypersexualised brand – who employed models such as Adriana Lima, Gisele Bundchen and Candice Swanepoel as ‘Angels’ – has attempted to shift into softer silhouettes – including working with plus-sized model Paloma Elsesser – after a series of bad publicity, including sexual harassment and bullying allegations in 2020.

Part of this effort – which has led to rising share prices – includes re-hiring supermodel Bella Hadid, who once took a part in a collective demand – via an open letter on The Model Alliance- for the company’s former CEO ED Razek.

She told E! News: “Another way that I realized my growth—which was super important for me—was being able to be in a setting that I once felt unempowered, and to now feel so empowered and so reassured.”

“I don’t know if people understand that just as much as you would feel that it’s uncomfortable to be in your underwear shooting a commercial, it is that uncomfortable so the thing about Victoria’s Secret for me now is that they really, really care about us.”

Bella also revealed that the priority was no longer “what’s the vision of what a woman is supposed to be? from a man’s perspective.”

Fashion legend Andre Leon Talley has died aged 73.

The former US Vogue editor-at-large passed away on Tuesday (18.01.22) at White Plains Hospital, TMZ reports.

A cause of death is not known at this time.

The influential fashion journalist and stylist was known for his larger-than-life personality and loud personal style.

Following stints at Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine and Women’s Wear Daily, Andre quickly worked his way up the ranks at fashion bible Vogue, going from fashion news director from 1983 to 1987, to the first African-American creative director from 1988 to 1995.

Andre was appointed the role by Vogue icon Anna Wintour.

In 2020, he released his memoir, ‘The Chiffon Trenches’, in which he told tales about famous fashion figures, including Anna, 72, and the late Karl Lagerfeld, the latter of whom he claimed “could have decimated my reputation in fashion.”

Anna and Andre fell out in 2018 when she replaced him with a YouTube star for the red carpet interviews at the Met Gala and he was still hurt about the snub years later.

He said: “If Anna had called and said, ‘André, we’re thinking of going in a different direction [for the Met ball], it’s important for our brand,’ I would have said, ‘Fine. That’s great.’ And I’d have come in my Tom Ford cape – I always wear Tom Ford – and enjoyed my dinner.

“It felt like I was just thrown under the bus. It hurt!”

Designer Diane von Furstenberg was among those to pay tribute to Andre.

She wrote: “Good bye darling André.

“No one saw the world in a more elegant and glamorous way than you did.

“No one was more soulful and grander than you were… the world will be less joyful now. I have loved you and laughed with you for 45 years… I will miss your loud screams and your loyal friendship… I love you soooo much. (sic)”

Machine Gun Kelly has claimed the engagement ring he had designed for fiancee Megan Fox “hurts” if it’s taken off.

The ‘My Bloody Valentine’ rocker recently asked the ‘Transformers’ star for her hand in marriage after they started dating in 2020, and Megan claimed the loved-up pair “drank each other’s blood” to celebrate.

Now, MGK has revealed more details about the unique ring he proposed with, which features their birthstones emerald and diamond and has thorns for bands, which could cause the 35-year-old actress to shed even more blood if removed.

In an interview with Vogue, the pop-punk star – whose real name is Colson Baker – said of the custom design: “It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment. It was just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine.

“And the diamond was directly from [designer] Stephen [Webster].”

He added: “The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet. So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart, and you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts…”

MGK then insisted: “Love is pain.”

In a previous Instagram post, the 31-year-old rapper shared a close-up look at the ring and explained: “i know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two.

“the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. (sic)”

Megan shared a video of the proposal and wrote: “In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic

“We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time.

“Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.

“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.

“And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.”

Megan concluded: “…and then we drank each other’s blood.”

Britney Spears has sent a cease-and-desist letter ordering her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, to stop talking about her.

The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker’s legal team want the ‘Zoey 101’ actress to stop discussing the 40-year-old pop star’s life and struggles when she’s giving interviews to promote her new memoir, ‘Things I Should Have Said’, which they claimed features “misleading and outrageous claims” about Britney.

Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, wrote: “We write with some hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her.

“”Although Britney has not read and does not intend to read your book, she and millions of her fans were shocked to see how you have exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she.”

After years under a conservatorship overseen by her father, Jamie Spears, the lawyer stressed Britney will not be “bullied” by anyone any more.

The letter continued: “You of all people know the abuse and wrongdoing Britney had to endure during the conservatorship, after initially growing up with a ‘ruinous,’ alcoholic father. In fact, your own book reportedly states that your father ‘spent most of my life in that cycle of ruinous behaviour. His bouts of drinking caused me periods of torment and sorrow.’

“As I have previously stated, having endured a 13-year conservatorship that stripped her of civil rights and fundamental liberties, Britney will no longer be bullied by her father or anyone else.”

Jamie Lynn was accused of “airing false or fantastical grievances” to garner publicity for her book and warned her sister will take further legal action if she continues to speak about her and their feud.

The letter concluded: “Britney was the family’s breadwinner and she also otherwise supported you. Publicly airing false or fantastical grievances is wrong, especially when designed to sell books. It is also potentially unlawful and defamatory.

“Michelle Obama famously said, ‘When they go low, we go high.’ And to Britney’s great credit, that is exactly what Britney is going to do, for the time being.

“You recently reportedly stated that the book was ‘not about her.’ She takes you at your word and we, therefore, demand that you cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily during your promotional campaign.

“If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.”

The second part of Jamie Lynn’s interview on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast was due to be released on Wednesday (19.01.22) but it is currently unclear what will happen in the wake of the legal warning.

Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly took over Calvin Klein’s Instagram – wearing boxer briefs.

The ‘Saturday Night Live’ comic and pop-punk star did an Instagram Live on the fashion brand’s page on the social media app wearing a pair of CK underpants.

The page’s profile picture is still of Pete wearing one of their caps, while the bio reads: “Pete here.”

The 28-year-old star also posted a selfie in a CK top and captioned it: “I got Instagram.”

Which prompted MGK, 31, to comment: “are you gonna post us in our undies.”

And alongside an up-close selfie, Pete wrote: “Did we nail it or did we nail it.”

On the Live, the pair frolicked around, throwing popcorn everywhere and posing in their pants.

It’s not known at this time why Pete was seemingly promoting the brand.

However, he has previously modelled for Alexander Wang, and recently he was seen in a matching SKIMS set with his girlfriend Kim Kardashian West.

Meanwhile, it was recently claimed Pete is “exactly what Kim needed” after her split from Kanye West.

A source close to the 41-year-old reality star thinks Pete is helping the businesswoman to move on from her marriage.

The insider told People: “He’s exactly what Kim needed after her divorce – someone to make her laugh and just have a fun time with.

“The end of her marriage was a very dark time for her and Pete has been the best antidote.”

Pete is determined to make their burgeoning romance his number one priority.

The TV star is actually making frequent trips between Los Angeles and New York in an effort to make their romance work.

The source shared: “He’s flying back and forth and spending more time in L.A. when he can to see Kim. He’s so into her and is always ‘my girl’ this and ‘my girl’ that.”

Despite this, Pete hasn’t yet been introduced to Kim’s children – North, eight, Chicago, Saint, six, three, and Psalm, two.

A second source shared: “She still loves the attention. They have been getting to know each other quickly. Kim likes him more and more.”

Louis Vuitton has dedicated its window displays at stores across the globe to the late Virgil Abloh.

Boutiques in New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, London, Moscow, Taipei, Los Angeles, Chicago, Singapore, Istanbul, Sydney, Bangkok, Milan, and Madrid are adorned with tributes to the luxury fashion brand’s late Artistic Director of Menswear.

The bright colours are a nod to “Virgil’s Sky” from his debut collection in 2019, which was ‘Wizard of Oz’-themed, while “Virgil was here” features too.

Several inspiration quotes by the revolutionary designer also feature, including “Let your imagination run riot,” “Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself,” and “I’m a dreamer. I think about how long my ideas can impact or bring a different voice to the rest of the world.”

On Monday (06.12.21), Tyler, the Creator gave a moving eulogy at Virgil’s memorial in Chicago.

Stars and friends of the late fashion icon – who died last month at the age of 41, following a private battle with a rare form of cancer – came out to honour the memory of the Off-White founder.

The service took place at the Museum Of Contemporary Art in Chicago, with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, and Kendall Jenner among those in attendance.

Tyler gave a tear-jerking eulogy, struggling to hold back the tears he recalled how Virgil was able to interact with and inspire people “of all colours, ages, backgrounds and religions.”

He continued: “That’s what he did, he brought the illest people together.”

Lauryn Hill paid tribute to the designer with an emotional rendition of ‘Everything Is Everything’ from her seminal LP ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’.

Chicago Activist Englewood Barbie shared footage from the event and wrote: “Only Virgil could have me sitting casually across from @badgalriri or behind @kendalljenner or across from Ye & Kim my mind was blown… I was touched that he reached these people & they pulled up for him…”

Virgil secretly fought a cardiac angiosarcoma and continued to work on his fashion projects.

The news of Virgil’s death was shared on his own Instagram page with a message that read: “We are devastated to announce the passing of our beloved Virgil Abloh, a fiercely devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife Shannon Abloh, his children Lowe Abloh and Grey Abloh, his sister Edwina Abloh, his parents Nee and Eunice Abloh, and numerous dear friends and colleagues.”

The message went on to explain the revolutionary designer “chose to endure his battle privately since his diagnosis in 2019, undergoing numerous challenging treatments, all while helming several significant institutions that span fashion, art, and culture.”

With the registration of the new domain frontiers.sonicthehedgehog.com, speculation has mounted that a game called Sonic Frontiers could be on the way.

The website is currently inactive but with the seventh annual Game Awards looming – set to take place on Thursday 08.12.2021 with a stream broadcast the following day – fans are expecting an official announcement to come at the annual ceremony, which has often been used as an event for game reveals.

When it comes to the unveiling of new games, award show host and video game journalist Geoff Keighley, 42, previously teased that amount of announcements is “in the double digits, with around “40 to 50 games this year someway or another.”

In a blog post for EpicGames, he said: “I think this year is a unique year and because a lot of things have been delayed and pushed. So you have a lot of big games, but it’s kind of anyone’s game this year, which as a show producer, you sometimes yearn for those years where it’s a rivalry between like a ‘God of War’ and ‘Red Dead Redemption’. There’s great tension this year. I’d say the awards are about half the show and the other half is the announcements and premieres.”

Speculation of the new ‘Sonic’ game – which if true, will become the 94th title to be released under the flagship Sega franchise since the inaugural MegaDrive game was released in 1991.

Amongst a slew of other awards, the games nominated for the prestigious Game of the Year Award include ‘Deathloop’,’It Takes Two’, ‘Metroid Dread’, ‘Psychonauts 2’ , ‘Ratchet & Clank’ and ‘Resident Evil Village’

Apple has been forced to halt iPhone production for the first time in what is being called “the nightmare before Christmas.”

The tech giant has reportedly had to stop the production line “for several days” owing to supply chain limitations and China’s ongoing issues with chips.

A supply chain manager told newspaper Nikkei “Due to limited components and chips, it made no sense to work overtime on holidays and give extra pay for front-line workers […] That has never happened before. The Chinese golden holiday in the past was always the most hustling time when all of the assemblers were gearing up for production.”

The report goes on to describe the situation as the “nightmare before Christmas” and indicates that Apple failed to meet production targets in both September and October for the iPhone 13, missing out by about 20%.

This also led to a knock-on effect of Apple’s other flagship devices – including the iPad and older generations of the iPhone such as the iPhone 12 and the iPhone SE.

Nikkei reports: “Over the same period, the reallocation of the shared components squeezed iPad assembly even more, leading to about 50% less production volume than planned, while the production forecast for older generations of iPhones also dropped around 25%.”

The report also went on to state that sources had claimed the situation had “not improved much” by November.

The halt comes after Apple CEO Tim Cook previously attributed the production issues to problems brought on by COVID, as well as industry-wide chip shortages.

He told CNBC: “We had a very strong performance despite larger than expected supply constraints, which we estimate to be around $6 billion. The supply constraints were driven by the industry wide chip shortages that have been talked about a lot, and COVID-related manufacturing disruptions in Asia.”

Nintendo are said to be taking emulation criticism very seriously after facing backlash over their new Switch platform.

The gaming giant has come under fire in recent months over their Switch N64 emulation system, which released a new tier of Switch Online membership that allows gamers to play classic Nintendo 64 titles, but the company have faced backlash over issues such as game quality and high prices.

Nintendo President Doug Bowser told The Verge: “We’re constantly looking for ways to make our online features and those games better and continuing to add value through more services and more games as we go forward. We take the feedback very seriously, and we’re continuing to look at ways to improve the overall performance. For us, it’s about quality and great content at a great value.”

In the same interview, Bowser also addressed the semiconductor shortage and how it is affecting Nintendo’s new OLED Switch production.

He said: “These challenges have been facing many industries, and they’ve been going on for quite some time. But we’re working to meet demand for our holiday products, including the Nintendo Switch OLED model. I will say things are constantly changing, but we’ve been working across the supply chain — from production to overseas transport to local distribution channels — to make sure we have a steady flow of hardware and games through the holiday cycle. Now, despite all of our efforts, I’d say there’s still a high level of uncertainty. I’d certainly recommend if you see it, buy it this holiday season.”

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard revealed during a joint appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Monday (15.11.21) that they used the COVID-19 lockdown to get fit and in shape.

The Hollywood couple – who have been married since 2013 and have daughters Lincoln, eight, and Delta, six, together – decided that the best use of their free time indoors was to get fitter and improve their bodies.

Kristen, 41, and Dax, 46, appeared in a joint interview on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and the 63-year-old daytime host complimented the ‘Employee of the Month’ actor on his gains, pointing out that he “had been working out like crazy”.

‘Frozen’ star Kristen Bell agreed, saying: “Isn’t he a hunk.”

As Dax flexed his muscles, she added: “Look at this. Look at this guy.”

Dax said that at his age there was little time left to “pack on some raw beef” and did so during the pandemic’s peak and centred his training on his “biceps and butt.”

His ‘Good Place’ wife continued to lavish praise on her man, remarking that he has “really beefed up his legs” and now he’s a “big boy”, quipping “I’ve got no complaints”.

The ‘CHIPS’ star had similar rave reviews for his wife’s body, despite not wanting to “objectify” her.

He said: “This outfit, I couldn’t get my eyes off it” as Kristen got up from her seat to do a squat.

Kristen didn’t see it as “objectification ” because she was “proud” of her rear-end.

She said: “It’s not objectification. I am proud because I’ve put a lot of work into them.”

While on the show, the trio also play a game, titled the Five Second Rule, where Dax praised their kids for being kind, a friend to animals and like their mother.

Dax recently shared – while interviewing actress and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow on his podcast – how the Kristen teaches their children about sex, emphasising the importance of consent.

Speaking to the ‘Iron Man’ actress, he said: “When she describes sex to our children, she says, ‘And then the woman takes the man’s penis and puts it in her vagina. So right away it’s like, you’re in charge of this, you will decide to put this in your vagina, not ‘the man puts his penis in your vagina.’ That was like, a little subtle thing like that is like, you’re in the driver’s seat.”

The 40-year-old hotel heiress and the 40-year-old venture capitalist tied the knot at the Bel-Air estate of her late grandfather, hotelier and philanthropist Barron Hilton, on Thursday (11.11.21).

The businesswoman posted the first picture of herself in her Oscar de la Renta bridal gown.

Paris and Carter’s big day was thought to have featured several famous faces, including her friends Kim Kardashian West, Kyle Richards, Paula Abdul, Emma Roberts, Ashley Benson, and Bebe Rexha.

According to MailOnline, Paris’ parents Kathy and Rick Hilton were among the first guests to arrive at the picturesque venue, with her brother Conrad Hilton and aunt Kyle Richards following close behind.

The nuptials was filmed for the star’s new 13-part Peacock docuseries, ‘Paris in Love’.

The series premiered on Thursday, in which Paris admitted she already celebrates “monthly” anniversaries with Carter, because they mark the date they started their romance every single month.

She said: “Carter and I celebrate our anniversary every month. We call it our month-iversaries. Every month on the 29th.”

Kathy joked she thought the idea was “crazy”, but she is ultimately happy for her daughter.

She quipped: “The monthly anniversary thing, I thought that maybe they would do that for a few months or for the first six months. It went on and on and on, and whatever floats your boat … Crazy.”

Carter told the cameras: “We’re definitely going to be celebrating monthly for the rest of our lives, it’s kind of our thing.”

The couple – who got engaged in February after more than a year of dating – changed their wedding venue just days before they were due to marry.

An invited guest said last week: “It changed about a week or so ago. It’s changed several times.

“Originally, they were going to get married in the church, but they switched it about a week or so ago.

“It’s a three-day event. New email invitations went out [Wednesday] to confirm attendance, but there still aren’t any addresses [listed]. They’re going to be filming to death.”

Leonardo DiCaprio, the 46-year-old actor, is being lined up to play the religious cult leader of the Peoples Temple, who was behind the 1978 mass suicide over more than 900 people at his Jonestown settlement.

The upcoming MGM movie has been written by ‘Venom’ scribe Scott Rosenberg, and Deadline has reported that DiCaprio is set to take on the lead role.

Jones found the Peoples Temple – which he promoted as a fully integrated congregation promoting Christian Socialism – in 1955, and by the 1970s he had rejected traditional Christianity and claimed to be God.

He build his commune in Guyana in 1974, and four years later told his followers to drink Flavor Aid which was laced with cyanide.

MGM have secured a deal for the project, while Leonardo DiCaprio is set to produce alongside Jennifer Davisson via their Appian Way company, with Rosenberg also set to executive produce.

Not Leonardo DiCaprio’s first time playing an historical figure

The film won’t be the first time the Academy Award-winning star has played an historical figure.

He took on the role of con man Frank Abagnale in ‘Catch Me If You Can’ and Howard Hughes in ‘The Aviator’, before playing frontiersman Hugh Glass in ‘The Revenant’, which earned him the best actor Oscar in 2016.

He’s also got two other movies in the pipeline, as he’ll be starring in upcoming Netflix comedy ‘Don’t Look Up’, in which he will be part of a star-studded cast with the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Jonah Hill, Timothee Chalamet, Meryl Street and Ariana Grande.

Leonardo DiCaprio also set for Apple Original Films project ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, which comes from director Martin Scorsese and also stars Jesse Piemons and Robert De Niro.

The 38-year-old star shot to fame through his appearances in ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’, and Scott Disick has been offered an eye-watering amount of money to commit to the family’s new series, according to Us Weekly.

Scott – who has Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, with Kourtney Kardashian – insisted he’ll only join the new show if he “got paid a lot”.

And after being offered what he asked for, Scott – who split from model Amelia Gray Hamlin earlier this year – has been happy to commit to the project and has followed the rules over recent weeks.

Kourtney’s Engagement has been tough for Scott Disick

In October, meanwhile, Scott was said to be feeling “really sad” about Kourtney’s engagement.

The TV star knew that Kourtney and Travis Barker were likely to get engaged at some point – but he still felt “low” after they announced the news via social media.

A source said: “He will always care for Kourtney. She is the mother of his children and no one else will compare to that.”

The brunette beauty recently got engaged to the music star at the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, California.

And at the time, Scott started avoiding the newly-engaged couple, as he came to terms with the situation.

Another insider said: “He will always be a part of the Kardashian family but it is hard for him to be around Kourtney and Travis.”

Megan Fox – Kourtney’s showbiz pal – has also described the reality star and Travis as a “perfect match”.

The actress explained: “I think they’re just a perfect match for each other because they have a karmic bond with each other.

“They are soulmates. They love each other and they have a really intense connection.”

The release date is still set for December 2023.

‘Star Wars: Rogue Squadron’ has been delayed as a result of director Patty Jenkins’ other work commitments.

‘Wonder Woman’ director Patty Jenkins is set to helm the new sci-fi movie but fans will have to wait a little longer as Patty’s scheduling commitments means it will be impossible to make the film in 2022.

Jenkins and writer Matthew Robinson have been developing the project with Lucasfilm for more than a year and it was set to go into preproduction by the end of this year.

However, insiders say that the producers and filmmaking team realised that Jenkins’ schedule and other commitments wouldn’t allow for the time needed to make the movie next year.

‘Rogue Squadron’ has now been taken off the production schedule, although the release date of December 2023 currently remains in place.

Patty is also working on a third ‘Wonder Woman’ film and sources say that it could be moved forward as a result of the delay to the new ‘Star Wars’ flick.

It is hoped that Jenkins will be able to return to the project once she fulfils her other commitments.

Lucasfilm also have a number of ‘Star Wars’ projects in the works, including one from Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige and another from acclaimed director Taika Waititi.

Patty revealed earlier this year that the script for ‘Rogue Squadron’ was almost complete and the development on the movie had been “going amazing”.

The 50-year-old director said: “It’s going amazing. I had been on it already for six months before I even announced that, so we’re pretty deep into it. We’re finishing a script, crewing up, and it’s all going wonderful. I’m so excited about the story and excited that we’re the next chapter of ‘Star Wars’, which is such a responsibility and such an opportunity to really start some new things. It’s really exciting in that way.”

Ed Sheeran wouldn’t want to “mess” with the “good” thing Adele has going on by recording a duet with his fellow superstar.

The 30-year-old pop superstar has explained that the reason he and the ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker haven’t hit the studio together before is that he wouldn’t want to “mess with” her greatness.

Speaking on radio station WKTU’s ‘Carolina with Greg T in the Morning Show’, he said: “She doesn’t really collab with anyone.

“Her thing is so good that like you don’t want to mess with that.”

The flame-haired star recalled getting to hang out with and witness the 33-year-old Grammy-winner play “tiny, tiny, tiny shows”, as his cousin was the drummer of Adele’s early tour buddy, Jack Penate.

The ‘Shivers’ singer – who dropped his chart-topping fifth studio album ‘Equals’ to acclaim last month – continued: “I’ve actually known her for about 15 years.

“She used to tour with a guy named Jack Peñate. My cousin was the house mate of Jack’s drummer and she used to open up [for them] when she was younger. She used to sit on a stool with a bass guitar and sing, so I ended up seeing her at all these tiny, tiny, tiny shows.”

Both artists went on to become global megastars, and Ed gushed that the ‘When We Were Young’ hitmaker – who releases her hotly-awaited comeback album, ’30’, on November 19 – is always “lovely” when they bump into each other.

The ‘Overpass Grafitti’ star added: “When she obviously went on and had success, I had success about three years later and we bumped into each other and it’s really nice to have someone that you’ve known for that long.

“I mean I don’t know her super, super well, but you know, we are both British and we have a fair bit in common so yeah, she is lovely.”

The tech giant has been rumoured to be working on a folding Google Pixel phone that will rival the new range of foldable Samsung devices, and it has now been claimed the models of Google’s foldable phone could be released as soon as 2022.

Google recently released the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones, and although there were no announcements about a folding phone at the company’s latest launch event, 9to5Google claims there’s a new code hidden in the Google Camera app that suggests a foldable Pixel will see an official release next year.

There has also seemingly been an update to the name of the folding phone, as it used to be codenamed Passport but now seems to be using the codename Pipit.

The bad news is that according to 9to5Google’s APK Insight team, it appears Pipit is set to feature the 12.2-MP Sony IMX363 sensor used in the Pixel 5 as its main camera sensor instead of the much larger, and much higher-res Samsung GN1 sensor Google uses in the new Pixel 6.

Elsewhere, it seems Pipit will feature a 12-MP IMX386 sensor to power an ultra-wide camera, and two IMX355 sensors as selfie cameras to ensure users can take expert snaps with both the interior and exterior cameras.

As of the time of writing, there are no other details confirmed about the rumoured folding phone, and Google are keeping things under wraps. We’ll keep you posted about any upcoming news regarding Google’s foldable phone.

Fashion Designer Stella McCartney pleads for legislation to ban fur use https://www.australiantimes.co.uk/lifestyle/entertainment/fashion-designer-stella-mccartney-pleads-for-legislation-to-ban-fur-use/ Tue, 09 Nov 2021 00:54:00 +0000 https://www.australiantimes.co.uk/?p=2452370 With the ongoing fur use, fashion designer Stella McCartney has urged officials to draw up a policy to ban the use of fur for once and all.

Stella McCartney has begged for fur to be banned amid the COP26 UN climate conference.

In the summer, the 50-year-old fashion designer, animal rights activist, and environmentalism’s eponymous fashion label joined forces with Humane Society to campaign to end the use of fur for fashion.

And as COP26 got underway in Glasgow, Stella opened the ‘Future of Fashion: An innovation conversation with Stella McCartney’ exhibit at the Scottish city’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum this week, which she attended to call for legislation to be created to stop animals being culled for fashion.

Speaking to Forbes magazine at the launch, Sir Paul McCartney’s daughter said: “I’m here today because I’m begging for policy to be put in place for the fashion industry.”

Stella also called on fast-fashion retailers to cut their produce to help flatten their carbon footprint, and she insisted it’s still possible to have “a sexy, well-designed” product and make money with a “cleaner, more sustainable” approach.

She explained: “Fast fashion [brands] obviously need to reduce what they produce.

“I want to show my industry that you can have a business model in working in a cleaner, more sustainable way. You don’t have to kill and don’t have to cut down rainforests, and you can have a sexy, well-designed, lasting, beautiful bag. I’m here to show that you can still make money.”

Stella said those who are “killing animals” and “cutting down our rainforests” have blood on their hands and should feel guilty.

She added: “There’s this kind of mindset, that killing animals just for handbags, slaughtering them, skinning them, cutting down our rainforests is fine, that’s capitalism, and that’s how we should make money. I’m like – that should be guilt, you should feel bad when you work in that way.”

Items on display at the exhibit included futuristic vegan football boots – which were created in partnership with Adidas and Manchester United star Paul Pogba – and luxury handbags made with vegan, lab-grown mushroom leather.

Stella met with Prince Charles and Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio at the event, before she took part in a discussion with industry experts about ending the use of fur and animal leather.

Stella said: “I want to highlight my industry and call it out, we’re one of the most harmful industries in the world to the environment and what I’m doing here is trying to provide sustainable solutions and technologies and a better way of doing things.”

Richard Madden loved the challenge of playing someone “seven thousand years old”.

The ‘Eternals’ actor plays superhero Ikaris – who is actually over 20,000 years old in the comic books – in the Marvel blockbuster, and he loved the opportunity to take on a very different character.

He told HeyUGuys.com: “In this piece, the lure for me I found was, ‘Do you want to play someone that’s five, seven thousand years old?’

“As an actor, you never really get to do that. Not a lot of characters are seven thousand years old – I’m sure there’s some vampires out there that are, but oftentimes we don’t get to play characters that old.

“So that for me – rather than kind of thinking of it as a Marvel piece – was, ‘OK, how do I play a character, how do I bring joy to a screen to someone who’s seen everything and done everything a million times?’ “

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Scottish star also loved the opportunity to see Camden in a whole new light as the cast filmed on location in the area.

Richard Madden added: “That bridge, which we have walked across many times – me and Gemma and Kit, together – I got to fly above it.

“So, I got to have this different vantage point on Camden. I thought, ‘I’m never gonna see Camden like this again’.

“It’s quite good, just hanging off these wires and the crane looking down at the canal. Very different to how we’re usually there at two o’clock in the morning.”

And there was the chance to work with filmmaker Chloe Zhao, who was at the helm of the movie.

He said: “She has that lovely thing of having the camera rolling before action and after cut, so oftentimes captures these intimate moments of the characters by themselves having a thought, or if it’s the actor by [themselves], having a thought.

“But either way, it gives – especially in a movie that’s so plot driven – these moments that you get alone with these characters to just give an extra dimension to them. She’s got a real skill at capturing that.”

Sarah Jessica Parker is not impressed with how she and co-stars are treated in comparison to their male co-stars.

The 56-year-old actress believes that she and the other female cast members of ‘And Just Like That…’ – such as Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon – are treated differently to their male counterparts.

She said: “There’s so much misogynist chatter in response to us that would never. Happen. About. A. Man. Grey hair grey hair grey hair. Does she have grey hair?’

“I’m sitting with Andy Cohen and he has a full head of grey hair, and he’s exquisite. Why is it okay for him? I don’t know what to tell you people.”

Sarah feels particularly frustrated by the critical comments on social media.

The actress thinks she’ll always be criticised, irrespective of how she looks.

She told Vogue magazine: “It almost feels as if people don’t want us to be perfectly okay with where we are, as if they almost enjoy us being pained by who we are today, whether we choose to age naturally and not look perfect, or whether you do something if that makes you feel better.

“I know what I look like. I have no choice. What am I going to do about it? Stop ageing? Disappear?”

Meanwhile, a source recently suggested that Kim Cattrall could still star in the second season of ‘And Just Like That…’.

The 65-year-old actress played Samantha Jones in ‘Sex and the City’, and the writers are keen to entice Kim to return for the sequel series.

The insider said: “We’ll announce eventually that the show will have a second season. This isn’t a one off, this will be a series.

“It will be quite a while between the first and second series as Sarah Jessica Parker has a busy schedule and we have a lot of work to do to get Kim Cattrall back.

“We all miss Kim and we hope she comes back for the second season – the door will never close on her, she is an important part of the franchise.”

Ellen DeGeneres has announced a skincare line called Kind Science.

The 63-year-old television host is branching out into the beauty market after announcing her eponymous entertainment show will go off air in 2022 after 19 seasons.

She said on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ this week: “There’s something that I’m very excited about. I have been working on this for three years and I’m excited to share it with you today.”

Although the products are yet to be unveiled, Ellen described the line as “age-positive skincare that actually works.”

Kind Science launches on October 26 and is both cruelty-free and planet-friendly.

She explained: “We call it Kind Science because it is kind to animals, it is kind to your skin, it’s kind to the planet, and it’s kind to your wallet. So it’s all kind.”

Ellen recently insisted she “never thought” her talk show would last for 19 years.

She said: “I think I gave the advice on day one. I mean, I wanted to make a show that was really fun for everybody and an escape for an hour a day. Whatever was going on in the world, I wanted this to be a happy place. I wanted everyone here to have fun working here and I wanted to not take it for granted, to enjoy [it].

“But if you would have told me that in 19 years that I would be doing this 19 years later, I never thought it would last this long.

“I thought it would do well, but, you know, talk shows don’t last that long usually. So I’m, you know, beyond blessed and grateful for it going this long.”

Ellen announced in May this year that her show would be coming to an end, and admitted she was actually planning to quit after 16 seasons.

She said at the time: “I was going to stop after season 16. That was going to be my last season, and they wanted to sign for four more years and I said I’d sign may be for one. They were saying there was no way to sign for one. ‘We can’t do that with the affiliates and the stations need more of a commitment.’ So, we [settled] on three more years, and I knew that would be my last.

“That’s been the plan all along. And everybody kept saying, even when I signed, ‘You know, that’s going to be 19, don’t you want to just go to 20? It’s a good number.’ So is 19.”

The post Cats? I’ll take a dog: Andrew Lloyd Webber bought a therapy pup after seeing Cats film appeared first on Australian Times News.

Andrew Lloyd Webber hated the ‘Cats’ film so much – he had to buy a therapy dog to get over it.

The 73-year-old theatre mogul, who penned the original 1981 musical, has been vocal about his distaste for the widely-derided 2019 movie.

And he’s now branded the flick – which starred the likes of James Corden, Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, Jason Derulo, and Dame Judi Dench – “off-the-scale all wrong” and revealed he went out and bought a Havanese puppy to help him deal with the shocking movie adaptation of his beloved Tony Award-winning stage show.

In an interview with Variety, he said: “‘Cats’ was off-the-scale all wrong.

“There wasn’t really any understanding of why the music ticked at all. I saw it and I just thought, ‘Oh, God, no.’ It was the first time in my 70-odd years on this planet that I went out and bought a dog. So the one good thing to come out of it is my little Havanese puppy.”

Webber quipped that he requested to have the pooch with him at work because he was so “emotionally damaged” after seeing the motion picture.

He said: “I wrote off and said I needed him with me at all times because I’m emotionally damaged and I must have this therapy dog.

“The airline wrote back and said, ‘Can you prove that you really need him?’ And I said ‘Yes, just see what Hollywood did to my musical ‘Cats’. Then the approval came back with a note saying, ‘No doctor’s report required.'”

Andrew Lloyd Webber previously hit out at the director for not consulting anyone who was “involved” with the stage show when creating the silver screen adaptation.

He fumed: “The problem with the film was that Tom Hooper decided, as he had with ‘Les Mis’, that he didn’t want anybody involved in it who was involved in the original show … The whole thing was ridiculous.”

And it wasn’t the first time Andrew had levelled criticism towards the movie as he previously took a swipe at Corden’s “unfunny” depiction of Bustopher Jones in the film.

During a YouTube live commentary of a 1998 film version of the stage show, Andrew said: “Bustopher without interruption, as I wrote it. Do not be beguiled by other versions.

“Other versions with unfunny interpolations which I begged to be cut out. I did manage to get the worst of them removed. I cannot tell you how absolutely un-Eliot it all was in this song… He certainly didn’t hang around on a seesaw.”

He did not mention Corden by name but hinted that he was referring to the ‘Gavin and Stacey’ star.

She told Britain’s Vogue magazine: “David always dresses. He always makes an effort. When we’re on holiday in Europe, he has a very pulled-together look, and I want to wear those pieces as well. It’s a shared suitcase.”

Of her new collection, she added: “The oversized chambray shirts feel quite David, with a loose-fitting pant and a beautiful belt. You wanna be that person.”

But David wasn’t the only man whose fashion sense inspired Victoria’s new collection as she referenced an “eclectic mix” of stylish guys.

In the notes for her London Fashion Week show, she wrote: “A masculine silhouette is part of our DNA. There was quite an eclectic mix of well-dressed men that came to mind when I was thinking about this season… Leo in linen, Ray Liotta in ‘Goodfellas’ – the string vest and unbuttoned shirt – then of course Mr Beckham himself.”

Meanwhile, 46-year-old David recently admitted his kids – Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 16, and 10-year-old Harper – told him he was “a bit old” to wear trainers.

He said: “I put on a pair of trainers the other day, and they were like, ‘Really dad? Do you not think you’re a bit old for those?’ I was like, ‘No!’.”

But the retired footballer was able to change his children’s minds by showing them some photos of his more outlandish styles.

He added: “Then I showed them 20 different pictures of me wearing other stuff and they were like, ‘OK, maybe you can’.”

The former sportsman was subjected to ridicule when he famously wore a black sarong in 1998 and he revealed the garment was one of three which he still owns.

He said: “I thought, ‘I can pull that off’. So I got one in red, blue and black.”

Emma Grede, the founding partner of SKIMS and co-founder of her sister Khloe Kardashian’s Good American apparel label, explained that the reality star knew exactly what she wanted to achieve from the get-go.

She said in June: “SKIMS was Kim’s idea since she was making her own shapewear back in the day by dyeing it with tea bags to match her skin tone. She had a very clear idea. And I imagine that seeing what I did with Good American made me look like a good and attractive business partner to her – there’s a trust level there. Kim can choose to work with anyone she wants in the whole world, but I really know product.”

Emma hailed both brands for their dedication to ensuring they are as size-inclusive as possible.

She added: “I’m really proud of both SKIMS and Good American for so many different reasons. But mostly, if you walk out on the shop floor SKIMS and Good American will be the brands with the largest size range by far.”

Facebook warned over small LED camera on Ray-Ban glasses https://www.australiantimes.co.uk/technology/facebook-warned-over-small-led-camera-on-ray-ban-glasses/ Wed, 22 Sep 2021 10:30:25 +0000 https://www.australiantimes.co.uk/?p=2450926 Facebook has been warned over the 'very small' LED on its new 'smart' Ray-Ban glasses.

The post Facebook warned over small LED camera on Ray-Ban glasses appeared first on Australian Times News.

]]>
The tech firm has teamed up with the eyewear company for the product, which includes a face-mounted camera that is able to take pictures and brief videos with a verbal cue.

Ireland’s Data Protection Commission (DPC) has asked the social media giant to demonstrate that the LED light on the glasses is an effective way to notify other people that they are being recorded by the wearer.

The Italian privacy watchdog the Garante had previously raised concerns about the smart glasses.

The first Facebook and Ray-Ban specs went on sale earlier this month, they resemble typical sunglasses but also contain two cameras mounted on the front that enables the user to record content and upload it to a new app called View.

However, European regulators are concerned about the little indicator.

The DPC said: “While it is accepted that many devices including smart phones can record third party individuals, it is generally the case that the camera or the phone is visible as the device by which recording is happening, thereby putting those captured in the recordings on notice. With the glasses, there is a very small indicator light that comes on when recording is occurring. It has not been demonstrated to the DPC and Garante that comprehensive testing in the field was done by Facebook or Ray-Ban to ensure the indicator LED light is an effective means of giving notice.”

Machine Gun Kelly wanted Megan Fox to be “naked” at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday (12.09.21).

The ‘Jennifer’s Body’ actress caused a stir on the red carpet at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center thanks to her sheer illusion dress by Mugler, which showed off her silver underwear and she explained her boyfriend – who wore a custom crimson patterned tuxedo – had had a huge hand in deciding her look for the evening.

She joked to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “He was like, ‘You’re gonna be naked tonight.’ I was like, ‘Whatever you say, daddy!’ “

Megan admitted she was “so proud” of her boyfriend, who went on to win the Best Alternative award for ‘My Ex’s Best Friend’ and performed ‘Papercuts’ with collaborator Travis Barker during the ceremony.

She added: “He’s the most talented boy in the world.”

And after appearing alongside the 31-year-old star in his ‘Bloody Valentine’ music video, Megan joked he won’t be casting any other women in future clips.

She said: “He’s not allowed to have other h**s in his music videos. It’s the queen no one!”

Megan and Travis’ girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, introduced the performance of ‘Papercuts’ to the audience, describing the singers as their “future baby daddies”.

Megan shouted: “New York, I need you to get extra loud for our future baby daddies.”

And Kourtney added: “Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker!”

Ahead of the ceremony, MGK and Conor McGregor were spotted squabbling on the red carpet.

A source told TMZ that Conor put his hand out to introduce himself to Kelly, but the star’s team allegedly pushed him away.

Other footage showed the UFC star – who had some of his beverage spilled in the scuffle – later throwing what was left of his drink on the red carpet.

Conor later insisted “absolutely nothing” happened, and branded Kelly a “vanilla boy rapper”.

He said: “I don’t know. He showed up, and I don’t know. I don’t know the guy.

“Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean?

“I certainly don’t fight little vanilla boy rappers.

“I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”

Cyndi Lauper called for “fundamental rights” for women at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Sunday (12.09.21).

The 68-year-old singer took to the stage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, to present the Best Pop award, but before she handed over the Moonperson statuette to ‘Peaches’ hitmakers Justin Bieber, Daniel Caesar and Giveon, she had an important message to deliver about the needs of females.

Referencing her most famous song, ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’, she told the audience: “How are you doing? I won a moon person at the very first VMAs in 1984. Things are a little different now.

“Yeah, girls wanna have fun. But we also want to have funds. Equal pay. Control over our bodies! You know, fundamental rights.”

Cyndi’s first MTV VMA was the Best Female Video accolade for ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’ – which beat off competition from her own ‘Time After Time’ and was nominated for a further five honours that year – and she recalled how she wanted to represent “all girls” with the promo clip.

She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’ backstage at the event: “I worked really hard to get ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’ to represent all girls, so that all girls could see themselves.

“I wanted to capture that, and I’ve got to say, we were the little engine that could. I was up for seven awards that year, didn’t win one.

“[But] I was there, and I got to make this performance art.”

The ceremony celebrated 40 years since MTV first hit television screens and Cyndi praised its lasting legacy.

She said: “You would never just listen to music again. You would see it.”

Prince William met with emergency workers to celebrate 999 Day on Thursday.

The Duke of Cambridge returned to work after his annual summer break by paying a visit to Dockhead Fire Station in south London, where he spoke with first responders as they met with members of the public who have received support from them.

A post on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Instagram account read: “This #999Day we’re saying a huge thank you to all the heroic people working and volunteering in the emergency services and the NHS.(sic)”

It was accompanied by a gallery of images of the “incredible” people who the prince had heard from at the event.

Among those William – who has children Princes George, eight, and Louis, three, and Princess Charlotte, six, with wife Catherine – spoke to were ambulance technician Charlotte Speers and fire-fighters Marc Rustage and James Knight, who came to the aid of five-year-old Lila when she collapsed, with pictures showing the little girl had donned a tiara for the occasion.

He also got to chat to Police Constables Ryan Legge and Ahmet Mavitunali , who “acted quickly to save the life of then six-year-old Noura, who had received appalling injuries at the hands of her father.”

And William met with Ravi and his RNLI rescuers, who came to the man’s aid after he was dragged out to see, where he heard how he had “remembered their ‘Float to Live’ advice and was able to remain afloat for almost an hour before being rescued.”

The gallery was rounded off by a photo of William speaking to a woman named Mariam and fire-fighters, who told how she was rescued from a blaze on the eighth floor of a building earlier this year.

Jason Momoa unveils Aquaman’s new stealth suit https://www.australiantimes.co.uk/lifestyle/entertainment/jason-momoa-unveils-aquamans-new-stealth-suit/ Wed, 08 Sep 2021 07:37:29 +0000 https://www.australiantimes.co.uk/?p=2450534 The new 'Aquaman' stealth suit has been unveiled and it's inspired by the 80s miniseries.

Jason Momoa has unveiled Aquaman’s new “stealth suit” for the sequel.

The 42-year-old actor is reprising his role as the titular half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry in ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’, and he excited fans by unveiling his character’s new look over the weekend.

Momoa shared the gold and green costume from the 2018 DC film, and the shiny new metallic blue and silver getup.

He wrote on Instagram: “Second round. New suit. More action. #aquaman Aloha j.”

Director James Wan has revealed the new suit is inspired by the blue one worn in the 1986 ‘Aquaman’ miniseries, and that it is made of “Atlantean tech based on cephalopod’s camouflaging ability”.

He added to his own page on the social media app: “Here’s @prideofgypsies in the classic #Aquaman suit AND a sneak peek at his other outfit — the stealth suit. Atlantean tech based on cephalopod’s camouflaging ability. David Leslie Johnson and I were inspired by the 80’s “blue suit”. (sic)”

The suit unveiling comes after Wan teased that ‘Aquaman 2’ is “heavily inspired” by Mario Bava’s ‘Planet of the Vampires’.

The filmmaker revealed the 1965 Italian sci-fi horror was one of his biggest sources of inspiration for the sequel.

In the classic movie, “a team of astronauts begin to turn on each other, swayed by the uncertain influence of the planet and its strange inhabitants.”

Wan said last month: “‘Aquaman 2’ is very heavily inspired by Planet of the Vampires. You can take the boy out of the horror but you can never take the horror out of the boy.”

He also explained that he didn’t want to make the first film in the franchise “dark and heavy” because he wanted to ease people into the “very lurid, strange world”, but he hasn’t held back for ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’.

He said: “Well, the first movie took a lot of people by surprise, right?

“And that’s partially because they were not familiar with the comic book, which deals in this very lurid, strange world. People were taken aback that I didn’t throw all that stuff away and make a dark, heavy film. But I didn’t feel that would have been right for it. So with the second film, I feel it will be easier for people to accept where we go because I’ve already laid the foundation.“

Wan previously said that the flick will be “more serious” and “a little bit more relevant to the world we’re living in today” than the previous movie.

The ‘Conjuring’ helmer said: “The second one is a little bit more serious, a little bit more relevant to the world we’re living in today. That’s where it wants to go.”

Facebook is planning on limiting the amount of political content in people’s News Feeds.

The social media giant has been testing changes to its algorithm in the US, Canada, Indonesia, and Brazil over the last few months, and has now announced it is ready to expand the update to more countries.

According to the site, the change will put “less emphasis” on political content when it comes to pushing news stories to people’s feeds in a bid to slow the rate of misinformation on the platform.

Facebook said: “We’re gradually expanding some tests to put less emphasis on signals such as how likely someone is to comment on or share political content.

“At the same time, we’re putting more emphasis on new signals such as how likely people are to provide us with negative feedback on posts about political topics and current events when we rank those types of posts in their News Feed.”

However, the social media site is receiving backlash for reducing political content, even though they also received criticism for the previous system too.

Charlie Angus, a member of the Canadian House of Commons, believes the change will “throttle political conversation” on the platform, while some journalists are concerned about what the update will mean for their content.

Journalism scholar Valérie Bélair-Gagnon tweeted: “Yet another example of how platforms regulate/affect journalism with Facebook moves to lower News Feed’s political volume (and could reduce traffic to some news publishers, companies that post lots of political content). (sic)”

Eva Longoria, Jurnee Smollett and Shonda Rimes have stepped down from the Time’s Up board.

The two actresses and the ‘How To Get Away with Murder’ creator have agreed to leave their positions on the organisation’s board of directors as part of a huge leadership shake-up after the campaign group became embroiled in the sexual harassment scandal surrounding former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The organisation announced over the weekend that “members of the existing board will be stepping aside over the next 30 days” to make way for a “new and reconstituted board”, with Nina Shaw, Hilary Rosen, Katie McGrath, Christy Haubegger, and Ana Navarro also among those who offered their resignation.

They said in a statement: “TIME’S UP is ready for new leadership, and we want to move forcefully toward its new iteration.

We have strong faith in the talent and dedication of our interim CEO Monifa Bandele as a leader. As has been announced, Monifa will be overseeing a comprehensive assessment of the organization, in collaboration with an outside consultant, and the input of our stakeholders: survivors and those who work for survivor justice and gender equity in the workplace and beyond.”

The new temporary CEO have asked Ashley Judd, Gabrielle Sulzberger, Colleen DeCourcy, and Raffi Freedman-Gurspan to stay on.

The reshuffle comes after Roberta Kaplan was pressured to step down as board chair last month after a report from the New York Attorney General revealed she advised Cuomo on a letter designed to discredit one of his accusers.

In addition, Tina Tchen resigned as President and Chief Executive late last month.

Almost 150 people signed an open letter last month calling for an independent investigation into Time’s Up and the National Women’s Law Center, as well as seeking the removal of board members who “have supported perpetrators of harm.”

Aliston Turkos, who wrote the letter, wrote: “TIME’S UP has abandoned the very people it was supposed to champion. The board continues to fail to heed the outcry from survivors. TIME’S UP is failing all survivors.”

Ed Sheeran has shared a clip of him re-recording his part on Taylor Swift’s new version of ‘Everything Has Changed’ for ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’.

The ‘Visiting Hours’ singer plugged his pal’s pre-orders of the vinyl copy of the re-record of the acclaimed 2012 album, as he posted a clip of him singing his lines, while he also teased the release of their new duet called ‘Run’.

He captioned the Instagram post: “The vinyl for Red (Taylor’s version) goes up for preorder today. Also presave on all platforms. Head to @taylorswift’s page for more details. Here’s a video of me rerecording my bit for a song you might know. There’s also a brand new song me and Taylor wrote the first day we met called ‘Run’ that’s out with the new version of the record, November 19th. Enjoy guys ! Was so fun reliving all of this x (sic)”

Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody is back for a new recording of ‘The Last Time’, and Phoebe Bridgers and Chris Stapleton are also featured on bonus tracks.

Taylor joined TikTok this week and her first post featured her telling her fans that the vinyl edition is now available for pre-sale ahead of its November 19 release and that she was looking forward to the fun and games of having a personal TikTok account.

She wrote: “Lots going on at the moment. Red (my version) vinyl is up for presale on my site and oh I’m on TikTok now let the games begin. #SwiftTok.”

‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ is set to follow April’s ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’, the new recording of her 2008 album.

Taylor decided to re-record her early albums after Scooter Braun purchased her former record label, Big Machine Label Group, for $300 million, and with it acquired the rights to her back catalogue.

Scooter’s Ithaca Holdings then sold the catalogue to Shamrock Holdings.

After the purchase, Taylor claimed she was never offered the chance to buy her own master recordings.

On her plans to re-record her records, she said: “It’s going to be fun, because it’ll feel like regaining a freedom and taking back what’s mine.

“When I created [these songs], I didn’t know what they would grow up to be. Going back in and knowing that it meant something to people is actually a really beautiful way to celebrate what the fans have done for my music.”

‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ did not disappoint, with six new tracks and duets with Keith Urban and Maren Morris.
